Spring/Summer 2023

  • The regional healthcare market is very strong. We are working on 30 active projects including structured cabling, nurse call and patient tracking systems. Hillrom training continues in support of our healthcare customers.
  • Recent contracts and ongoing projects include:
    • A new Distributed Antenna System for a building on the Loudoun campus of the Northen Virginia Community College.
    • Work is under way for the new Embassy of Qatar in a historic building in Washington DC.
    • Awarded the Northrop Grumman Linthicum, MD facility. We are installing a state-of-the-art Corning OM5 cabling system that includes over 650 fiber optic assemblies to the workstation, Cat 6A F/UTP copper cable, and backbone cable.
    • Work continues at JHU-APL with WAP system augmentation.
    • Our work with government/defense contractors continues with Raytheon, Jacobs, Parsons, Booz-Allen-Hamilton, and Insight Web Technologies.
    • We are undertaking WAP replacement projects throughout Emergent BioSolutions facilities.

Fall 2022

  • NET100 would like to congratulate our technicians who passed our BICSI Installer 2 copper course: Sean Payne, Carlos Andaverde, Jerry Nunez, and Marty Dixon.

Spring/Summer 2022

  • Awarded a major camera upgrade at Virginia Peninsula Community College (previously Thomas Nelson Community College).
  • Deployment continues at Erickson Senior Living’s Avery Point development in Richmond with the award of Buildings 4 and 5.
  • Our Chantilly office was awarded George Mason University’s new Institute for Digital Innovation (IDIA) on the Arlington campus. The new 345,000 sq. ft. facility will serve as a technological hub in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor connecting students, faculty, industry, and government.
  • Our Shenandoah branch is wrapping up 2 major dorm renovations at the University of Virginia.
  • Our Chantilly team continues to support Inova Health System with the installation of a new data center in the ICPH campus in Falls Church.
  • NET100 would like to congratulate the following team members on their recent promotions:

Fall 2021

  • Awarded project for Jacobs Cyber and Intelligence in Maryland that will run through Spring, 2022.
  • Completed backbone and telecommunication room upgrades for Tidal Health at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD and multiple Tidal Health healthcare facilities in Maryland and Delaware.
  • Recently awarded multiple phased projects for the Raytheon Corporation at multiple facilities in Maryland that will run through Spring, 2022.
  • Have begun the Phase 1B project for Erickson Senior Living, a leading developer and manager of continuing care retirement communities nationwide.
  • Hitting the midway point on new 200,00 sq foot grow facility for Greenleaf Medical that includes SCS, CCTC, Access Control and intrusion detection system.
  • Awarded multi-site security upgrade project for the Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitation Services. Work includes CCTV, Access Control and Duress Systems.
  • Awarded new North America HQ building for Plasser America Corp. in Norfolk, VA. Project includes SCS, Access Control and CCTV.
  • Completing massive renovation and expansion at Keswick Hall, a luxury resort in Charlotteville, VA. Project included SCS, CCTV, Access Control, AV and Wireless.

Spring 2021

  • Three more of our technical staff have earned the BICSI Installer 2 Fiber certification: Gary Reynolds – Chantilly, Tony Holshu – Richmond, and Andrew Nunez – Baltimore. And congratulations to Andrew and Louie Nunez for their promotions to Team Leader.
  • Our industry’s preeminent trade publication, CI&M – Cabling Installation & Maintenance, has announced our selection to their CI&M Top 25 List as exemplifying the characteristics customers seek and appreciate from their infrastructure service providers.
  • Currently installing structured, AV and security cable for the United States Naval Institute Beach Hall Conference center addition, a 406-seat state of the art facility at the United States Naval Academy, expected to be completed Spring, 2021.
  • Currently installing 2000+ Category 6 and security cables at the REGENXBIO Headquarters, Rockville, MD, 5 floor expansion, expected to be completed in the late summer of 2021.
  • Currently installing structured cable infrastructure at the new E. A. Fernandez IDEA Factory Building on the University of Maryland’s College Park campus. The 60,000 square foot building features state of the art laboratories, workshops and collaboration spaces for the development of engineering technology and prototypes.
  • Recently completed the new headquarters for Junior Achievement of Central Maryland. This installation consisted of structured cable, access control, security, cameras and a video management system.
  • Will be installing the structured cable for the new School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park, a 70,000 square foot building, in late spring, 2021. This building will include five state of the art instructional spaces ranging in size from 25 to 150 seats, a library, rooftop terrace and will combine more than 1,000 students and faculty.

June 2020

Taking advantage of the slow down and temporary shutdown of various projects, NET100 technicians just completed 9,329 hours of paid online training. And, in addition, accumulated 781 BICSI CECs along the way. Thank you and congratulations to all the technicians who participated. And a special thank you to our in house LMS manager Lauren Benere-Forder, our vendor partners, and BICSI.

Spring 2020

  • Awarded Children’s National Health System’s new Research and Innovation Campus at Walter Reed. The project consists of multiple buildings housing new research facilities, an auditorium, and a new parking garage at the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center site.
  • Currently working on Loudoun County’s new 300,000 sq. ft. Lightridge High School. The project is slated for completion before for the Fall 2020 semester.
  • One of George Mason University’s latest building projects, the 200,000 square foot Robinson Hall, has just begun cabling installation. The new 6-story building will house classrooms, collaboration and meeting spaces.
  • We are in the last phases of Paul Hastings LLP new DC office space. Due to the client’s Covid-19 travel restrictions for their IT staff, we will be providing Smart Hands services completing the installation of the network electronics, telephone handsets and setting up all desktop monitors.
  • Awarded the Middle Schools Cabling Refresh project for Henrico County Schools encompassing 24 facilities.
  • Completed new cultivation facility for GreenLeaf Medical. Includes SCS, CCTV, Intrusion and Access Control.
  • Awarded VCU Health’s new Adult Outpatient Facility in Richmond Va. Includes SCS, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion, Emergency Communications and Paging systems.
  • Nearing completion on Randolph Macon’s new School of Nursing.
  • Kinsale Insurance Company’s new Corporate Headquarters is well underway.
  • Awarded the new Ivy Mountain Musculoskeletal Center for UVA Health.
  • Awarded Virginia Economic Development Partnerships new expansion that includes a Cambridge Sound Masking System.
  • Awarded a large DAS system for Atria’s new HQ renovation.

  • NET100 has completed 4 OTB locations in Virginia, all part of Rosie’s Gaming Emporium, all locations include SCS, Access Control, Video Cameras and Management System and AV
  • Our Baltimore office completes 2,000+ category 6 SCS for USN and USAF under COPT umbrella
  • Other recent Baltimore projects include: Visit Baltimore; Grant Thornton (including Lencore Sound Masking); Havas Helia (including AV System); and several NG locations
  • Hill-Rom continues to keep us busy with projects at several major medical installations throughout Virginia
  • Womble Bond Dickenson and Baker Botts are two more firms to add to our growing list of law firm customers

Summer 2018

  • Begins work on Norfolk Southern HQ Renovation in Norfolk.
  • Awarded Inova Health System’s Loudoun Patient Tower to include Voice/Data/Nurse Call Systems.
  • Begins work on three new floors for Deloitte.
  • Nearing completion of summer time wireless upgrades at GMU and UMD.
  • Just completed the new IT building at UMD.
  • Just completed a first of its kind in the USA, CommScope FACT system installation in new large data center in Ashburn.
  • Our security business continues to grow with large install scheduled at data center in Richmond area.

Winter 2017/Spring 2018

  • Completed fiber & copper solution for 450,000 sq ft warehouse/distribution facility that is part of McCormick Spice/French’s expansion project in Aberdeen, MD. Installation consisted of Intra-building Multimode Backbone fiber to 6 IDF locations plus Horizontal CAT6 data cabling and Access Points providing wireless coverage for entire facility.
  • Providing a complete CAT6 upgrade to Structured Cabling systems of 5-story Tower Federal Credit Union headquarters in Laurel, MD along with upgrades to Audio & Video solutions in all Conference Rooms and Training Rooms, as well as Voice & Data Network.
  • Nearing completion of Nestle’s new HQ in Arlington, VA.
  • Completed CAT6A upgrade at Northrop Grumman BWI facility. Replacing 30 years of cabling over 850,000 square feet of office and industrial space.New OM4 and SM fiber was installed to the 17 TR’s that now support over 5,500+ Cat6A outlets.
  • Awarded large energy utilities HQ project in downtown Richmond.
  • Completed renovation of 12th floor in McAuley Building for Primary Care Fit-Out project at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. The project consists of new CAT6 infrastructure along with LogiSon sound masking system.
  • Awarded sizeable assisted living expansion for Kendal in Lynchburg VA.
  • Higher Education market continues to grow with projects at UVA, JMU, VCU and Mary Washington.
  • Work has begun on Shenandoah Valley Electrical Coop’s new Headquarters in Harrisonburg Va.
  • Two large expansions underway for Lifespire, Inc.
  • Nearing completion of the new Academies of Loudoun project for Loudoun County Public Schools. The project consists of a new 3- story, 300,000+ square-foot facility, on 119 acre site.
  • Installed new Sumitomo Airblown Fiber System to provide redundant single mode backbone to 20+ buildings on the campus of Episcopal High School.

Spring 2017

  • Health Care is very active with new projects from Inova and Mary Washington Hospital
  • Higher Education is also strong with new projects from VCU, GMU, Salisbury State and University of Baltimore
  • NET100 expands our reach with new project in Seattle for IBM
  • Data Center activity remains busy with Anthem (hot aisle containment) and other undisclosed centers in Virginia
  • Loudoun County Public School System has added two more new installations
  • Anthem project in Roanoke awarded
